Call off the dogs, the hunt is over. I have officially met my future husband and father of my children. It is none other than the wonderful, the beautiful, Britt Daniel.

First off, no photo can give credit to his utter sexiness on stage. Let me tell you, he has one of the best voices, the best stage presence, and the sexiest stance of any rocker I’ve ever seen (and that’s quite a few). But, I got to actually talk to him and shake his hand. For all of you who know my run-in-with-celebrity past, you know that Beautiful Britt got away lucky since I didn’t throw him against a wall and ravage him. But I came close. Real close. He will not get away so lucky next time…

Yom Hashoah — Holocaust Remembrance Day.
What a sad day. And so much to commemorate. Passover ends, and a time to remember the Holocaust begins.
We are not so far removed from such recent history.

Sunday again. It seems the only day of the week that I have a spare minute is on Sundays, and even then I’m scrambling to play catch up. Today, I woke up really early, which made me sad, but I got to see a cool docu on Basquiat and I got to watch my favorite show, Meet the Press (how big of a dork am I?).
To Do:
1. Take a shower
2. Watch This Week, with George Stephanopolous
3. Walk Buddy
4. Call Dad, Uncle.
5. Do dishes.
6. Hang up clean clothes, wash dirty ones.
7. Begin reading articles for my presentation on Wednesday.
8. Begin catching up on reading I’ve missed the entire semester so that I can start on my take-home exam (also, due Wednesday).
9. Obsessively check my email for updates from my group mates about a paper, due Tuesday.
Which leads me to my final gripe….
I am in graduate school. And a good graduate school at that. Why do my professors insist that we do 3rd grade assignments? Why, why must I write 3 separate group papers on a community problem, that could have easily been combined into one paper? If you don’t feel like you have enough material to get you through the semester, don’t teach. Full stop.

Finally, it’s the weekend, only it doesn’t feel like it, because I had to wake up early (earlier than I do during the week) to go to practicum for 3 hours. This is a new occurrance, so I’m way thrown off. The good news is that 1)I get to sleep in tomorrow, and 2)the first meeting of my kids’ literacy group was a hit. Plus, I had a really nice chat with a co-worker that I wasn’t really that close with before. On the bad side, tomorrow is Sunday already, and my puppy is acting up because of the full moon. Damn lunar cycles.

Well, it’s Monday, and I’m back from my mini-vaca in TX. Very nice. Much needed. And, since I busted my ass the week before, I didn’t have any work to do while I was gone.
I have to say, it was very convenient that my boyfriend and I’s anniversary fell on a Friday this year. It was fabulous being together, especially on that day. I’m really looking forward to summer, since it means more together time.
Don’t be fooled. Distance sucks.
